Our Story
Founded in 2022 by me, Alice, Desirea was born from a passion for creating jewelry that tells a story.
Each piece reflects our belief that everyone deserves to feel unique and special.
With my mom, Manuela, who brings my designs to life, and my sister, Silvia, who adds a touch of color and attention to detail, we create jewelry that is not just an accessory but a true expression of self.

As a child, I always felt different—my red hair, freckles, and height often made me feel out of place. Jewelry became my way of expressing who I truly was, beyond my shyness.

The soutache technique
Soutache originated in the 17th century, initially developing in Hungary and Russia, where it was used to decorate aristocratic clothing, military uniforms, and traditional costumes through the application of decorative cords made of silk or other precious materials.
The use of soutache in jewelry making is relatively recent and owes its emergence to contemporary artisans and designers who have transformed this technique into an art form. Among the pioneers of this evolution is Dori Csengeri, an Israeli designer who reinterpreted soutache with a modern style, bringing it into the international spotlight.
The technique is characterized by the use of flat cords hand-stitched around pearls, crystals, and cabochons, creating intricate, refined, and three-dimensional designs. Each piece is unique, thanks to the combination of vibrant colors, high-quality materials, and a design that emphasizes both symmetry and asymmetry.
This process requires great precision, craftsmanship, and creativity, making each piece of jewelry a work of art that tells a story of tradition and innovation.
